You blink and a year goes by. This year Claire decided she did not want a birthday party. I was still somewhat shocked that she just wanted to do fun things as a family. Although, one of those things is going to Hawaii. We started the day with yummy German Pancakes and homemade syrup and Claire picked Red Robin for dinner. She decided she wanted to go to the Beach on Saturday and we are planning a trip to Disneyland after Thanksgiving or on Christmas break. Some of Claire's favorite things are her friends, drawing, music, singing, swimming and playing with her brother most of the time. She will start taking guitar lessons next week and is very excited. It was twin day at school.
This year we decided to go back to the train museum to visit the pumpkin patch. Grant still loves trains so we thought it would be fun to go ride the train before it is of no interest to him. The hay maze was very fun for the kids it is all they wanted to do, they had games, pony rides and even a pretty good band. Every time we come here Grant is very excited until he is actually on the train. I finally figured out that he gets a bit of motion sickness when the train is moving. We rode on a muni train that they had just finished restoring. It took four years to restore it. I love the old ads in the trains especially the interest rate on the savings account 4 1/2%, better than you can get today. So Crazy!!!
